Brindleyplace, Birmingham the 17 acre site is currently the UK’s largest mixed use scheme. Work started in 1993 and most of the site has now been developed. Completion of the final phase is expected at the end of 2004 and will be the new Regional Headquarters of the Royal Bank of Scotland, together with a foodstore on the frontage to Broad Street and other units for retail, restaurant and bar uses.
Brindleyplace includes new office accommodation, 143 canalside apartments and town houses, a branch of the National Sea Life Centre, a new theatre, hotel, modern art gallery and a vibrant mix of shops, restaurants and cafes in a canalside setting immediately adjacent to the International Convention Centre. The value of this major development is £250 million.
Office tenants include BT, Lloyds TSB, Regus, GVA Grimley, Royal Mail, Deloitte & Touche, Vodafone, F.W. Pharma Systems and Michael Page International.
